In July/August 2007 we were able to produce a second edition (1000 copies) of “Numaj o lil ...”. These books were presented to three Romany Centers/NGO’s in Kumanova (Macedonia): “Vrama Si”, “Kham” and “Idnina” and through them to the schools. Thereby the Kumanova school children could start with Romany lessons after the summer holiday.
In November the production of another 800 books could be started off, for which the Romany Centers/NGO’s “Romani Bah” and “Ednakvi Mozhnosti” in Veles (Macedonia) had been applying already for some time. They were ready before the end of 2007. By this donation the Romany school in Veles was given official permission to set up a small Romany educational programme.
In 2007 Gjunler Abdula and Parne Gadje did some concerts together. The last one was on October 10, in the “Heilig Hart” Church in Oss. This concert took place within the framework of a special project “Kunst in ‘t Hart”. Gjunler, Marc and Dan played most of the Bizoagor repertoire and we gave information about the project. The audience reacted positively and many CD’s were sold.
Sunday, December 16, Marc and Joli were present at the Amnesty International stand at Oss. Evidently Amnesty’s focus was Human Rights, worldwide. This includes the rights of children to have access to education in a language which they know well.Marc played his music and he and Joli informed the public about the Bizoagor project.
